More than one reason to sell

Repair bills adding up?

If your car is damaged, no longer running or simply no longer needed, tell us about it and discuss the available options.

Cars, vans and motorbikes

More than a registration number.

All ages and conditions considered. Each vehicle receives an individual assessment.

Everyday cars and upgrades

Bought another car, stopped needing a second vehicle or simply ready for a change? We consider cars that run well as well as those needing attention. Tell us about the mileage, service history and overall condition so we can assess the individual vehicle.

MOT failures and non-runners

A failed MOT or a car that will not start does not automatically mean it should be scrapped. Share the MOT findings or describe the symptoms you have noticed. We consider whether repair and resale are practical before discussing an offer and collection.

Engine, gearbox and electrical problems

If the repair bill no longer makes sense for you, tell us about the fault and any diagnosis or estimate you already have. You do not need to diagnose it yourself. Let us know whether the vehicle starts, moves and steers, and whether any parts have been removed.

Accident-damaged and high-mileage vehicles

We consider accident-damaged vehicles and cars with high mileage individually. Describe the damage, any known insurance category and the vehicle’s current condition. Our quotation depends on the information available and the potential for repair or resale.

Classic and older vehicles

An older registration does not tell the whole story. For a classic or a vehicle that has been stored, tell us about its condition, originality, restoration work, missing parts and documents. Clear photographs can help the team understand what you have.

Vans and light commercial vehicles

Replacing a work van or selling one with mechanical problems? Include the make, model, mileage and condition, along with any conversion or specialist equipment. Tell us about its size and where it is kept so suitable collection arrangements can be discussed.

Motorbikes

We also consider motorbikes, including unwanted bikes and those needing repairs. Include the registration, make, model, mileage, known faults and whether it runs. Tell us about any modifications, missing keys or damage so the team can assess it properly.

Start with its actual condition.

A car that will not start can have very different collection needs from one that runs and drives. Tell us whether it rolls, steers and has keys, as well as any known mechanical issues or damage.

Understand the offer before you decide.

Ask what is included in a quotation, whether collection can be arranged from your location and which documents will be required. Our focus is buying vehicles for repair and resale where viable. We assess each vehicle individually, including non-runners, MOT failures and damaged vehicles, before agreeing an offer.

Thinking about scrapping your car?

Scrapping is a last resort, or an option when you specifically want your vehicle scrapped. We do not scrap vehicles ourselves; vehicles agreed for scrapping go to an authorised treatment facility. Tell us your preference when you enquire so the intended outcome and any necessary arrangements can be agreed before collection.

Value beyond scrap.

We consider repair and resale potential when assessing your vehicle. This may allow us to offer more than its scrap value, depending on its condition and demand. Each quotation is individual.

What happens to your vehicle when we buy it?

Our aim is to give vehicles a new lease of life wherever practical. We work with a network of motor traders looking to buy vehicles. Depending on its condition and potential, your vehicle may be sold to the motor trade, offered at auction, or prepared for retail sale by us.

We consider those options before taking the scrap route. Where repair or resale is not viable, scrapping is our last resort. If you specifically want your vehicle scrapped, we agree that with you before collection. Vehicles agreed for scrapping go to an authorised treatment facility; we do not scrap them ourselves.

Paperwork taken care of.

If your car or light van is scrapped, you will receive a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) issued by the authorised treatment facility within seven days of scrapping. Different documentation may apply to other vehicle types, including motorbikes.

If we buy your vehicle for repair or resale, we complete the sale paperwork with you before leaving your address. With your permission, we also help notify DVLA of the sale into the motor trade using the online service where available. If the service is unavailable or the required documents are missing, we explain the alternative notification steps before leaving. Keep your sale receipt and DVLA confirmation for your records.
